About Semester 1

GREED Academy launched its first semester with a simple mission: Make education on Solana rewarding, accessible, and fun.

What started as an experiment evolved into a full-scale learning journey, powered by Triton who made staking with the GREED Academy validator possible. Semester 1 came to life thanks to our incredible partners, mentors, and students.

How It Worked

To be eligible for rewards, students had to
  • Stake a minimum of 1 SOL with the GREED validator before July 29, 2024
  • Lock their stake until September 20, 2024
  • Complete at least 4 out of 8 on-chain lessons
  • Claim their prize, based on lessons completed and amount staked
You can still check how well our students did on the Leaderboard.
Special shoutout to Callahan, at the top of the Semester 1 leaderboard, who earned over $5,300!

The Results

  • 4,000+ unique learners joined
  • 2,700+ completed lessons
  • 1,000+ stakers locked in for the full journey
  • $100,000+ in rewards distributed
Even after rewards were claimed, thousands kept coming back to finish lessons, showing that people want to learn about crypto when it’s structured, interactive, and rewarding.
